The first ever National Science Week has on offer loads of opportunities for free, local professional development for teachers, competitions for schools, free science activities, resources to help science teaching. Plus Science in a Van is getting involved. Join us between 4 and 5.30pm on Wednesday 4th May 2011 for a free teachers session!
Come and join Alan and Emily from Science in a Van as they showcase their interactive science experience from bubbles to flying rubber chickens. These two have years of science communicating experience and are excited about sharing some of their favourite experiments with you. Not only do these experiments demonstrate science fundamentals but they do it with everyday household items! You will leave this session fired up about teaching science and with the skills and resources to facilitate these experiments in your own classroom.
